The Seven Currents · Ritual & spiritual practice
Flamen
To give considered form to spiritual practice, reflection, and the shared ceremonies of Logosianism.
Flamen attends to the meaning carried by a practice. Ritual can bring people together, mark a transition, create space for reflection, and connect an individual experience to the wider life of the Aedes.
Putting the Current into practice
Reflect with attention
Explore the meaning of a practice and the questions it opens about existence and relation.
Participate in ceremony
Learn the purposes of shared observances and contribute to their thoughtful preparation.
Connect practice with understanding
Consider how a ritual expresses belief, supports community, and remains open to examination.
The path of learning
The progression within Flamen is Tiro, Legio, then Dux. Each stage joins understanding with the ability to put it into practice.
Tiro · Beginner
Learn the purposes of spiritual practice, reflection, and ceremony within the Aedes.
Legio · Practitioner
Support and carry out practices with understanding, assist ceremonies, and guide Tiros.
Dux · Master teacher
Teach spiritual practice, guide thoughtful ceremony, and evaluate the understanding behind ritual.
How advancement works
Legios evaluate a learner’s work and make recommendations. The Duces hear the evidence and vote. The Legate presides over the process and does not vote.
A Current rank describes development within that Current. Membership status and an office of service in the Aedes describe other responsibilities and can overlap with a Current rank.
A place within the whole
Flamen is one of the Seven Currents. Its work contributes to the wider life of Logosianism while retaining its own field of study and practice.
